In this series, I revisited a theme from my earlier years as an artist—the serene dance of fallen leaves on water. Now, using leaves collected from the Scottish landscape, I capture their journey: some float on the surface, bathed in sunlight, while others gradually sink to the depths. Among these leaves, I see echoes of Millet’s “Ophelia,” where nature and emotion intertwine. The vivid red stems of maple leaves stand out, drawing the eye and emphasizing the fleeting beauty of autumn. This work aims to blend the transient nature of fallen leaves with the enduring spirit of the place they come from.
